Refine Your Teaching Through the Peer Observation of Teaching (POT) Scheme
Peer Observation of Teaching (POT) Scheme provides a developmental one-on-one opportunity tailored to individual teaching goals. The scheme is observee-led and purely formative, with strict confidentiality. Observing Period: 2 - 27 November 2026 (Weeks 9–12) Registration: Please register via the MIS Survey System at least one week ahead if you have an observer, or two weeks ahead if CTL should arrange a match.

Stay Hungry: Meal with Your Professor 取贤于师，共享食光
The Meal with Your Professor (MYP) program will run from 9–20 November. The MYP program provides student with a unique opportunity to engage with their professors over a meal or coffee. It’s a great chance to talk about career paths, research opportunities, or just get some academic or personal advice—all in a relaxed setting.
1. Make the invitation Invite one faculty member on your own, or team up with 1–2 other students to invite 1–2 faculty members. Agree on a time and place together, and let your professors know that CTL supports meal costs up to RMB 50 per person. 2. Pick a spot and enjoy the conversation

News Brief | 2026 CTL Spark Fund Officially Sets Sail师生共创项目启航仪式暨开题汇报 On 20 October 2026, representatives of the ten approved projects presented their ideas at the opening ceremony, marking the official launch of the 2026 CTL Spark Fund program. The program aims to provide a collaborative platform to explore innovative educational practices to enhance teaching and learning experience. Professor HUANG Yu encouraged project members to reflect on the future of teaching and learning amid the rapid changing AI era.

News Brief | The Light Shines on Our Path: Portraits of BNBU Educators: Over 200 BNBU Educators Featured in Portait Photography Initiative Last week, PUO and CTL jointly launched The Light Shines on Our Path: Portraits of BNBU Educators, a professional portrait photography initiative for BNBU’s full-time academic staff. Held over five days, the initiative provide more than 200 faculty members with the opportunity to capture their professional image, with services including professional hairstyling, makeup, lighting and post-production. The initiative reflects BNBU’s appreciation of its educators and recognition of their contributions.

Call for Papers | 14th Southern Education Annual Conference 关于征集第十四届南方教育年会论文的函
由广东省教育厅指导、广东省教育研究院主办的第十四届南方教育年会拟于2026 年11月下旬在广州举行。年会主题为“数智时代的教育变革：新机遇·新生态·新挑战”，现面向有关单位、专家学者、研究人员征集原创论文。论文应紧密围绕贯彻落实党的二十届四中全会和全国教育大会精神，围绕学习贯彻习近平总书记关于教育的重要论述，结合年会主题进行撰写，着重探讨数智时代教育发展面临的理论问题与实践问题，以及广东加快建设教育强省的路径、策略、建议、经验等，题目可自拟。篇幅控制在5000字左右。

Artificial Intelligence Symposium 2026 The rapid development of generative AI has challenged the higher education sector, provoking a wide range of perspectives and responses. This has provoked reflection on some fundamental questions: What is the purpose of higher education, and what disciplinary knowledge should our graduates possess?
