| End of Term Tea 学末茶叙
As summer gently unfolds and another busy semester comes to a close, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) warmly invites you to an “End of Term Tea” at the sunlit courtyard of Ganso Café (Huitong Village). Amid the shade of trees and the quiet hum of an afternoon well spent, come take a pause from the demands of teaching and daily work, and enjoy a moment of conversation, reflection, and companionship with colleagues.
Like all meaningful journeys, a semester is shaped not only by what happens in the classroom, but also by the people who inspire, support, and learn alongside us. Over tea and conversation, let us look back on the moments, challenges, and achievements that have marked the months behind us, while finding renewed inspiration for the path ahead. We look forward to sharing this afternoon with you and celebrating the close of one chapter as we prepare to begin the next.
What’s waiting for you:
ITL Book Launch – A brief celebration of the release of Innovative Teaching and Learning, featuring a few reflections from contributors. Table Talk – No pressure, no right answers — just good conversation and hear how others navigate the same small surprises of teaching. Sun, Coffee, and a Slow Afternoon – Enjoy the courtyard, sip something cold or warm, and take a well-deserved break. DIY Ice Cream Fun – Summer deserves a little sweetness. A small gift to take home – A little token of appreciation for being with us. Drinks and Food are on us – As always.
Date & Time: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, 16 June 2026 (Tue) Venue: Ganso Café (Huitong Village) Who can join: All teaching staff are warmly welcome.

Extended Deadline: Encounter · Be Inspired 微光拾光・自在成长——师德师风学习活动
As a joint university, we teach across cultures and inspire transdisciplinary learning. But great teaching isn’t always made of grand ideas. It lives in small, real moments — a well-prepared lesson, a patient answer, kindness offered when no one is watching.
We invite you to pause and witness how other teachers live those small moments. No pressure, no clock-watching. Just a chance to see the light in others, and be inspired to grow and shine your own.
We’ve gathered video resources on topics that actually matter to you: academic honesty, respect in relationships, cross-cultural understanding, and the quiet wisdom of looking after a classroom well.
How to join (light and simple): When: July 2026 (Extended deadline) Who: All staff (Note: The event is Chinese-resource oriented, foreign teachers are welcome to join) What: Watch at least 5 short videos Reflect: Write a short 200-character takeaway — like a quiet note to yourself Reward: Learning certificate & a small gift (coffee voucher, souvenir, or USB drive)
