BNBU Academic Drinks

Our Academic Drinks event series is dedicated to the promotion of friendship and cooperation among faculty members working at different departments. Whether you have only recently joined BNBU or have been with us for a while, it is a good chance to meet new friends or catch up with colleagues, and talk about your research and teaching experiences! Please join us for an afternoon of friendly conversations over delicious drinks and snacks.

“Beyond Boundaries” T&L Lecture Series #12 | AI Teaching Assistant Chatbot: Initial Training and Reflection

Abstract:

This lecture will focus on how I trained an AI teaching assistant chatbot for a general education course offered to undergraduate students from various majors. This chatbot provides guidance on academic paper writing by accessing system prompts and a knowledge base, while not replacing student’s critical thinking or directly generating content for them. The lecture will share the working scenarios, training process, application results, and reflections on the AI teaching assistant chatbot.
