Abstract:

We will talk a novel, award-winning, AI-assisted pedagogical model. The creative model won three national prizes during 2024-2026, including 9th and 11th XJTLU National University Teaching Innovation Contest, also 7th National Blended Teaching & Learning Innovation Contest. AI is fundamentally transforming education. For educators, AI serves as a powerful assistant that automates administrative tasks and streamlines course planning, freeing up valuable time for personalized instruction and direct student mentorship. For students, generative AI acts as a collaborative thought partner that provides adaptive tutoring, real-time feedback, and customized support across diverse learning needs and accessibility requirements. However, the successful integration of these tools requires navigating critical challenges, including the risk of cognitive dependency. We will discuss how BNBU teachers and students can ethically harness human-AI collaboration to foster critical thinking, create inclusive environments, and promote deep, sustainable learning through the pedagogical model.
